Photo for Freedom – Volta Exhibition Launch, Thursday 2 February 2012

Photo for Freedom ‘Volta’ opening night attracted more than 130 people who heard from guest speakers Tim Costello, Bernadette Alibrando and Autumn Buzzell. Many hundreds more enjoyed the exhibition over the next two weeks, helping to raise awareness and funds to combat child slavery in Ghana. The exhibition coincided with the 2012 St Kilda Festival.

The Photo for Freedom ‘Volta’ project grossed over $46,500 with $30,000 going directly to the YGAP Ghana Project to pay for 10 teacher salaries for one year and the construction of two new classrooms at Faith Roots International Academy, a school run by City of Refuge Ministries and funded by YGAP.
